- A secure place for us to exchange information to limit the risk of tax-related identity theft. If you use online banking, access your retirement funds online or your health portal online, you already use a portal!
- What is tax-related identity theft?
- Tax-related identity theft occurs when someone uses your stolen Social Security number to file a tax return claiming a fraudulent refund. You may be unaware that this has happened until you efile your return and discover that a return already has been filed using your SSN. Or, the IRS may send you a letter saying we have identified a suspicious return using your SSN.

- What is web delivery?
- Web delivery is the method we use to share your tax documents with you via a secure internet site.
- Are there other delivery options?
- Yes, email and paper delivery.
- What is my login information? How do I change it?
- You will receive an email with your login and password information sent to the email address you provided to us. Once you log on, you will have the opportunity to change your login and password.
- Can I send documents to Cordasco & Company through the portal?
- Yes! The portal offers the capability to upload documents and deliver them securely to us.
- How will you know when I added them to my portal?
- We will receive a notification from your portal and download the appropriate documents.
- Why should I change my delivery method to web versus paper?
- With tax-identity theft on the rise and our technical capabilities, electing web delivery via client portal is the most effective tool to help ensure your confidential information remains confidential.
- Can I change my delivery method at any time?
- Yes! Contact us directly and we can change it for you.
- Where will my action items be?
- Your action items will be located in your portal in a folder marked ‘Action Items’. The instructions will be in this folder as well.
- How will I sign my documents if they are on the portal?
- You can sign your documents using your e-signature. Once they are signed by you, we will receive a notification and process your documents. Simple as that!
- Will I still get a paper copy of my documents?
- If you elect web delivery, you will no longer receive a paper copy of your documents from us. You will have, however, access to all of your documents to print at your convenience.
- Can I elect to keep my delivery methods the same or is this mandatory?
- It is not mandatory, however, clients already using the web delivery method have found this method timely, easy and convenient for receiving and sharing confidential documents.
- Can I pay my invoice through the portal as well?
- Yes! In your portal, you will have a folder marked ‘Ïnvoices’. You will be able to pay your invoice online.
