On March 18, 2020 Congress passed the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (“FFCRA”) which was designed to help individuals continue to pay bills without overburdening employers.
The FFCRA provided a variety of provisions to help keep people healthy during this crisis. In addition, the bill provides assistance for individuals and their families while trying to not overburden employers.
The following is an outline of the relevant provisions of the Act:
- 2 Weeks Paid Sick Leave
- 12 Weeks of Job Protected Leave
- Payroll Tax Credit
- Credit for Self-Employed Individuals
